# How to Add Bulk Users From Edly Panel and the Instructor Dashboard?
## Register Multiple Users and Enroll Learners in Bulk Using Admin Tools
### Overview
Managing large groups of learners is a routine task for administrators. Depending on whether you need to add users to the entire platform or enroll them into a specific course, you will use either the **Edly Panel** or the **Open edX Instructor Dashboard**.
### Choosing the Right Method
| **Feature** | **Edly Panel (Bulk Registration)** | **Instructor Dashboard (Bulk Enrollment)** |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Scope | **Platform-wide:** Affects the whole site. | **Course-specific:** Affects one course run. |
| Primary Use | Creating new accounts for an organization. | Enrolling existing/new users into a class. |
| User Role | Assigns roles like Staff or Admin globally. | Assigns "Learner" or "Beta Tester" status. |
### Method 1: Using the Edly Panel (Bulk Registration)
Use the Edly Panel when you have a list of new users who need accounts created on your platform.
**Procedures:**
1. Log in to your **Edly Panel**.
2. Navigate to **User Management** \> **Users** from the sidebar.
3. Click the **Bulk Upload** button located at the top right of the user list.
4. **Download the Template:** Click the link to download the sample CSV file.
- *Note: Ensure your data matches the columns: email, username, full\_name, and password (optional).*
5. Upload your completed CSV file.
6. The system will process the list and provide a summary of successful registrations and any errors (e.g., "Email already exists").
### Method 2: Using the Instructor Dashboard (Bulk Enrollment)
Use this method within the LMS to add a group of learners to a specific course.
**Procedures:**
1. Access the **LMS** and open the specific course.
2. Click on the **Instructor** tab in the top navigation bar.
3. Select the **Membership** sub-tab.
4. Scroll down to the **Batch Enrollment** section.
5. **Enter Data:** You can either:
- Paste a list of email addresses or usernames (separated by commas or new lines) into the text box.
- Upload a **CSV file** containing a list of emails.
6. **Configure Options:**
- **Auto-Enroll:** Toggle this to **On** to enroll users immediately.
- **Notify users by email:** Toggle this to **On** to send a system-generated welcome email.
7. Click **Enroll**.
